Look cool by themselves, what are they going on? What are your goals for the truck's build? I don't think they would look good on a lifted highboy, but a lowered F100 in 'ratrod' with steel rims yeah it would look cool.
My only concern is knowing the base angle vs. the bodys horizontal center line. If they sit on the door crooked then they will look dumb... All the Ford mirrors had different bases so they would sit correctly on each body style (mustang, fairlane, galaxy for '69).

Ford had a nice stock rectangular mirror that looks really nice on an F100. Kind of dressy, but fits the blocky design of the truck a little better.
Mirrors and rims, are two of toughest decisions on a truck.
