hi guys!
seen a possible donor truck for spares for my truck, for sale over here in the uk
now, as you can probably guess these trucks are not common over here, so apologies if this sounds like a dumb question, but I can't just walk into a junkyard over here and get bump bits - unfortunately!
My bump is a 69 f250, the truck I have my eye on is a 75 f100

- it has no engine, trans or back axle, but it has the following parts I think would fit my truck
- cab rear window, the opening type (I think!) which I really want for mine
- windscreen and rubber seal
- reupholstered bench seat
- complete steering setup (my f250 is manual steering, so is this)
- complete suspension beams, springs etc - the f100 will be on 5 stud hubs though, mine is 8 stud
- front bumper, some lights, reflectors, stuff like that
would the cab be the same as my bump? - or are the swage lines different - I realise the fenders and doors will be different - if it was I was thinking of fixing up this cab, then swapping all my good sheetmetal onto it?
any other bits you guys can see which might be useful as spares for my bump??

ps - annoyingly I've had to re-bush the front suspension of my bump before hitting the road, and due to the disrupted air traffic over here, it will be 3 weeks for new bushes, so I'm having a local guy make me some out of polyeurethane - and this ^^ damn truck has got brand new front bushes on it - damn it!!

If you're not stuck on keeping your truck a 3/4 ton, you could buy that '75, find a rear axle for it, easily swap your cab and box on to its frame and sell the '75 cab and box. The seat and windscreen will swap to your '69 but the back window will be too big.

it's more what parts I could use from the 75, as we have a weird system over here where pre 1972 vehicles (ie bumps) are exempt from road tax - so saving much $$$ per year
also, over here the vehicles identity is based on it's original chassis and mechanical bits, and 'the powers that be' have got a bit strange recently about swapping frames as such - my 61 f100 with it's clipped chassis is a case in point! (is technically non road legal at the moment!)

Sorry to hear it's so tough over there. You should be able to swap the whole F100 disc/beam/front spring setup into yours(along with proper master cylinder and proportioning valve), then find a F100/150 rear axle/springs to match the bolt pattern. Depending on which year of nine inch rear you find, you may have to move the rear spring mounts. Do the authorities have to be informed of such a swap if it doesn't affect the serial numbers? The only sheet metal from a '73-'79 that will fit is the tailgate, inner fenders and radiator support(with some minor mods). Where did you dig up the '61?

the cab floor is the same but the cab as a whole is not the same. the front wind screen will fit. the rear windscreen wont fit. none of the reflectors are the same. the power steering will fit. the front disc setup will fit. but the lug patterns are different as you know. the front bumper is the same. the seat will bolt right in. the engine perches will fit if you need them in the power steering swap. as long as the truck had the same engine you have now. as well i fit has an underbed fuel tank you can use that also. the rest of the frame and body is pretty much usless to you. unless you want to modify it to fit. the last fewe things i can think of is the windscreen wipers motor and switch is the same as our trucks.

it's causing a big 'shake up' over here on the hot rod circuit, that's for sure!
even if you had all the mods done on a bump in the states, then imported it - if they caught you with a radically modded truck, you'd stll have to go for the test!!
