I went to look at an autolite 2v carb today for 35 bucks. It looked pretty good. The spacer was there too. The guy also had a lot of other misc. bump stuff like, a right inner fender with NO rust, a decent battery box, back window, vent window assy.'s, outer door handles, inner paddle door handles, a window crank, a 67 door handle, gas tank with filler neck, a pair of 67 hood emblems, a pair of 68-72 hood emblems, 3 unmolested radio bezels, a radio delete panel, 3 instrument clusters (2 custom, 1 custom cab or ranger), 3 window regulators, 2 door latch mechanisms, a pair of sport custom emblems, 1 xlt emblem, 1 '70 grill insert, 1'71 grill insert, three heater control clusters, ac compressor and bracket, misc. hoses, a pair of steel door panels, various trim pieces, and other odds and ends including a pair of 63 Galaxie side view mirrors. I ended up with a 01 Ranger truck load of parts for 300 bucks. Ya think I did ok?

I guess no one else thinks so. Anyway there was a glove box door, and a bunch of other stuff too. I have the bed of my 01 Ranger stuffed with bump parts. When I get it sorted I'll take some pics.

I think if you break it down you prolly did good. Last time I priced a repop inner fender it was around $175. If you get what you want you could sell the rest at prices that won't get you branded as a ripoff artist and likely recoup most of your cash.

I sorted though it all today and I actually have more than I listed here. There are several things that will be going directly onto one or the other of my trucks and the rest I'll save back for a rainy day.

That's cool. Any time you can save a bunch of stuff from the scrapper. My old boss had to move and told me $150 for a shed load of mustang stuff from a '69 he restored years ago. I ended up with a 16' rollback deck filled with stuff, lots of NOS stuff too.
