How much is a 1972 grill worth?

Post by towtruckerfour »

Hey guys. When I bought my 68 highboy, the previous owner had bought a 72 grill that is in pretty decent condition to replace the one on the truck. I'm considering selling it since the grill on the truck is still in pretty good shape for the most part. Also, I'm wondering how you would ship it so it doesn't get beat up? I can post a picture if anyone is interested. Thanks.
Troy
Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

Out here in the west, they don't bring the kind of money they get in the rust belt. In great shape with perfect insets, you might get $200 or more on fleabay. A little less on Craigslist & typically you would ask slightly less than that if you listed it on this site's parts page. Post pics if you've got them.

boxing large itmes is fun. i have shipped a grille before myself. i used two boxes i cut up to make one. i then put hard stryfoam all around it. you have to watch how you make the box or the box will become a oversized package if it is too big. ups is the best bet fo rshipping large items. unless you trust greyhound for shipping a grille. reproduction 72 grilles sell for 5-600.
