I changed the exhaust from coming out just behind the rear wheel to coming out just in front of the rear bumper. I see so many 4X4's with the exhaust coming out at the rear wheel and if the truck gets used at all off road, it is going to get dented. Even as tall as Rueben is, I have managed to find rocks that are taller. I have done the same thing on my Tacoma as well. No more dented quarter panels! That is once I get the dent straightened.

Here is a shot of the engine with the 390 in all of it's glory. I painted the inner fender wells before I put the engine in. I wish that I had done the firewall as well.

Before I do the outside body work and paint, I want to do a spray in bed liner and re-skin the shell. I have grown to really like the shell and will be keeping it. I will build a simple interior for the bed that will allow me to camp with some comforts.

Rueben is not a daily runner and just waits for me to get back to work on him. I thought I was tired of working on vehicles but I am enjoying all that I am doing and my son is helping and it is good times together.
Until my next upgrade.
