A buddy of mine has a 99 Ford F-150 and was running 24" wheels. He ran the tires down and went in for a new set but ended up with a whole new tire and wheel package so he brought over his old wheels and we put them up under the 2002/1972 truck. Now he says I should buy them from him.... He thinks it looks great but I'm not sold yet. He told me I could keep it parked on them until I make up my mind. Now I know this look isn't for everyone so I don't expect everyone to like it but I still would like some input here. The last pic is photo shopped to make it sit about 4" lower and that's how I like the look of it but please give me your thoughts on it.
And the 4" lowered pic

Sorry, not to my tastes either. Too much wheel, not enough rubber.

I am all for a nice shiny rim. But I honestly don't think those wheels go on that truck! This is my With all the options out there, for rim/tire combos I would keep looking! A better option is out there.

I thought that might be the reaction. But that why I asked I don't mind the big flashy wheels but they have to be on the right vehicle. And as I said I'm not sold these are for this truck. They looked good on the 99 but that's a very different body style. Thanks for the input I might still pick them up to trade or sale if he doesn't mind that I don't keep them.
Thanks guys!

I Like the big wheels thing... those just dont do it for me. I prefer 27-28" tires on these trucks with a lowered stance, with a little sidewall. If I had a navigator or similar suv, I wouldnt mind something like youve got. I would personally go any bigger than a 20 on my truck.
That said, If you build your truck solely on what everyone else likes it will look just like the trucks everyone else has.
thanks thought I had seen that bumper mod at one point. NY we have to have front plate also. I may go with a hide a plate. I also have an idea for a different front bumper from another ford vehicle which will give me a smooth look if it all works out.
no problem Josh not to worry I bought them and then sold them for an extra $150 more than I paid. You will like what I spent the money on instead....

It's ruff and needs a lot of work but it's for my daughter and she loves it. She is 14 now, so we have 2 years to get it looking better and more road worthy.

I think I agree with most here...the wheels are nice but not on this truck. I think my max is a 20" and that's only if I got it DOWN!
Anyway, very nice work with the swap so far. It takes a lot of work, confidence, and skill to get after it like you have.
