67 F100 radio dimensions?

Post by WDJ »

Hi! new poster after learning a ton from this forum.

I have a fairly clean 67 F100, but the dead radio is not OEM, and I'm trying to replace it. Nobody talks radios for 67, because its a single year feature I guess. My dash has been cut, so I have a few paths to getting some sound.

Can anybody tell me or direct me to the dimensions like knob spacing and shaft diameter etc. for the unmolested dash, and a factory radio?

Thanks! And thanks for everything else I've learned here already! :-)

Well, I have a '67 F250, but it should be the same. Looks like knob spacing is 4-3/4", center-to-center. Threaded shaft portion is 3/8".

The radio itself is 7-1/8"W x 2-3/8"W x 5-3/8"D, at the biggest places. But since this is all behind the dash, you probably don't really care.

I could not find anything new to fit the stock dash, so I had to modify it slightly to fit a new system in. My dash mod is somewhere on the Interior section of the forum. Yes, I had to make cuts in the dash, but I can move backwards if I really need to.
