I took my truck to a car show in July so I had to clean up the interior.
I didn't take any before pictures, I don't know why! I bought this truck in Sept 2012. I painted the gear shift lever and the PTO and dump levers, and the brake and clutch pedals and the e-brake and the steering column all by a rattle can. I replaced the horn pad. The truck is a 1970 but the PO put in power steering and a 1971 steering column and wheel. The dash pad has only one crack right through the speaker. The seat has only one small tear. The mat is great on the passenger side but was missing on the drivers side, so I used an old MACK truck mudflap. This mudflap I used in my '54 F-100 as a floormat when I had it in the late 70's. I also put the rubber boots over the dump and PTO levers both for looks but also for noise and heat control.
Not bad for an old work truck, huh?

Man, that truck looks great considering that it has it's original interior .Imagine what it would look like with a little cut and buff on the inside. That would make it shine!

I think the truck sat unused for a long time. The guy I bought it from said it used to belong to a boyscout camp. The seat and dash are good, but the radio buttons and the surround and the heater controls and surround have a lot of rust and tarnish. The instrument panel is bad also, so I think when it sat it had some moisture working on those types of things. For instance the turn signal lever was very rusted. I sanded it down and painted it with silver paint. The truck does have 29,000 miles on it. At some point I would like to get a new floor mat. I also want to clean up the base of the steering wheel and paint the ring where the turn signal lever is. The PO had the old horn pad taped on the wheel with duct tape so I got to get some Goo-Gone to clean that up...
Thanks!
