I've been daily driving my truck for about two weeks now and I'm quickly realizing the need for additional storage. With no glove box, side pockets, cup holders, etc. it has been a tough adjustment from a 'modern' car.
What are you folks using for consoles? The selection at my local auto parts store was pretty crummy, they all looked like bad 1993 minivan hardware. I don't need anything fancy but a cupholder and a couple little pockets would be awesome. Show some pictures or links if ya got 'em.
otherwise DIY stuff? what have y'all come up with?

Here's one I'm going to plagiarize and modify (thanks Heirloom!) It's with bucket seats, like me, but it'll give you an idea of what's possible. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... p?p=646139 Starting about half way down page 5.

tougholdford, that is exactly what i'm thinking, perfect.
i'm not gonna spend more than 2-3 hours on this, just something to hold my junk at this point.
the rest'a yall are doing some awesome stuff, way beyond what i need for my 'farm truck' but very cool

Don't underestimate a roll of duct tape.
It'll work on the floor , dash, and the seat.
Just set it on it's side and it'll hold normal cans and fast food cups.
Plus you never know when you might need a piece of duct tape.

Re: Add- on/ DIY trans hump consoles
After much searching, it looks like Dearborn Classics has one that will work between the bucket seats, it is sold in four colors. I have not tested one but it looks like it will work.

I am of an age now that most of life's lessons were learned the hard way;
Life is hard, but it’s harder when you’re stupid.
Never approach a bull from the front, a horse from the rear or a fool from any direction.
Never ask how stupid someone is 'cause they'll turn around and show you.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
If you had the choice “Looks or Brains” take the Brains, Looks will get you thru the first half, but Brains will last a lifetime.
