Has anyone Dyed interior parts for correct colors?

Post by Madman »

I am trying to restore my 70 F250 4x4 just like my Dad's that he ordered in 1970. The interior of his truck was green, green seat and green door handles. I can't find green door handles, but can find white which they indicate can be dyed green. Has anyone done this? What product dye did you use and how did it turn out?

Also, Same goes for the original seatbelts style, do they have the original style, I only see after market types....

Thanks!

I am i the same boat. My interior is also green. The door handle cups, arm rests, carpet, and correct green seat vinyl would be nice.
The green seat that NPD offers is too green.

Check the brand SEM. I've used their vinyl/plastic dyes and had good luck with them.

Dupont makes a great vinyl dye. I have used it for all sorts of things. My head liner, sun visors and arm rests are done with this.

Yes I have, seatbelts and a cloth bench seat seat. It looks good. They are prone to fade, but it takes a long time.

I've got some green oem retractable lap seatbelts I could sell u. Not sure if they are 1970 f250 4x4 correct but... PM me if you interested and ill send some pics.
