accordion air duct inlet

I bought a new one, old one was really bad and fell apart. Now great question for all... how the heck do I get both sides back on?

I removed the vent against the outer wall... put the acordion piece on it.... put it on the piece with the heater core on it, tried to install every way I could and I could get close but never got it on 100% - so any thoughts or help would be appreciated!!
