Actually, I have one. Got it from a member. I'll try to scrounge up some pics. I've got it boxed and sealed in the basement for later installation. The glue's come loose on one corner and a small spot on the very back. I'll reglue it before I install. Overall, looks very good.

Aside from your vinyl idea, they do actually sell re-pops of our dash through LMC and other sites, but they are over $300 if my memory serves me right, which is crazy. Another decent option, if you have your old dash still, is get one of the dash covers they sell for about $100. They are made of plastic but are shells that fix over your existing dash and glue in place. They actually look exactly like a stock dash and most people cannot tell that it is not original without touching it.

There are pictures of them installed here on the site in various posts. I don't have time to find one and give you a link, but you should be able to search for DASH COVER and find one.

More pics. The areas where you can still see the old pad will hopefully be hidden by the windshield and pillars.

Now that I look closer at the pics, maybe it's one of those covers that Rich is talking about? It feels soft though, not like a hard plastic.

thanks guys. that doesn't look too bad sarg. yeah, I looked at the new ones and if I remember right they were closer to 500 but maybe that was on Melvins... I may have to take a better look at those plastic covers. Might be the way to go, especially until I figure out if I want to spend the cash for a new dash.

I found some of my cover installed... I did not do a very good job of gluing it and then anchoring it down so I have some ripples in the middle that are visible, but I have seen others installed that are perfectly flat and done right, so do not judge mine based on my crappy install. But at least you can get a good idea of what these look like installed:
