Wiring from radio

Post by cghstrojan08 »

Is this plug for the speaker that goes under the dash? Mine speaker is missing and I am guessing that is what it goes to. Any good source for a replacement? The truck has the original AM radio but with an added FM receiver. Would love to get some tunes going.

Yes that's the speaker wire from the radio. I don't see the speaker nor the speaker bracket. Do you have the bracket anywhere? I see the hole where the bracket goes but no bracket.

First install speaker bracket, then speaker, then radio.

Are you asking about the speaker bracket mounting? If so, I don't have a picture but the bracket at one end has a flat tab that slides in the
hole you can see in your picture. The other end has a tab with a screw hole that mounts with a screw at the top area of your radio hole.
First you put the bracket in the hole at firewall, set the speaker on bracket "correctly" then raise into position and secure with screw.

I have the bracket if your in need of one, I might even have an original speaker as well.
I can try and get pictures for you on mounting this, or at least pictures of bracket and speaker.
