Dent floor cover in a bump ?

Post by hazelnut »

Is the floor of a dent the same or wider than a bump ? Found a rubber floor mat the stops behind the seat instead of in front of the seat but it's made for a dentside.

I have read that the floor pans are the same, so it will work, but I haven't tried. I have also read where they are different and won't work, but nothing that says what part is different. From what I've seen from pictures, they look the same to me. I would stare and compare pictures of floor pans, stock and replacement ones, and carpets between the years to see if I could tell any difference before being certain, BUT I ordered a carpet for my 67 Crew that was listed for a 73 Crew, and it's the same. I actually have two carpet sets, one from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard for a 73 Crew and one from NPD for a 67 Crew, both are made by ACC and are the exact same part. Just make sure to order the correct center hump height. And if you can get the width uncut, that would be best as they seem to come too narrow in the front floor pan area.

I thought they were same to but wanted a second opinion just to be sure. I was at Dennis Carpenters shop in april and picked up a parts book and it had a flyer in it for rubber floor mat that goes all the way behind the seat like carpet dose but only listed 73-79 and made me wonder why not have it listed for bumps to. Something about the rubber floor mat stopping at the front of the seat is a turn off to me and just don't like the looks of it. Think i'll get me one in about a month so I can finish the interior finally

Thanks for your opinion :D

The floorpans are definitely the same; you just have to know high hump or low hump. I've got a 79 lariat carpet in my '68, just had to trim for length behind the seat.
