Restored Air Pressure Gauge

Post by 69Ford »

This is my second gauge like this I restored. I take a small screwdriver and carefully go around the back side of the bezel bending the lip back till the glass falls out. When done restoring the inside's I carefully pound the lip back with a hammer and punch on a flat surface. Takes time but they turn out nice.

maybe you've already figured this out, but i've been using a churchkey style bottle opener (like they sell for opening paint cans) with the little hook thingy on the end, for prying up the bezels.

i just did a voltage gauge i bought at a garage sale for 2 bucks. it works great now, had a loose connection inside i was able to repair. 70's vintage, way cool.

is the air pressure gauge for air brakes?
