Best solvent or cleaner for dash pad ?
What is the best solvent or cleaner to use on the dash pad ? I have one that is in pretty good shape and want to keep it that way with no cracks. Thanks

Re: Best solvent or cleaner for dash pad ?
Everyone has a favorite. My wife has taught me to always start with Dawn dish soap, hot water and a dish cloth. It really does work on grime and dirt. Let some soak in and scrub! It will come out.
After that she ups it to almost boiling vinegar and equal parts Dawn dish soap in hot water. But with a dash pad I would be concerned if vinegar would affect color. So my next step would be put a towel on glass side of dash pad for drips and sprinkle some comet directly on dash and add some Dawn & hot water. Let it settle in like a light, thin paste.
I'm doing the same thing. Even the area between the windshield and headliner is grimy on my new purchase.
What will you use on dash pad after grime is gone?
