Speedometer cabe routing
I have a 71 F100. I went to replace the speedo cable and found out it had been removed by previous owner. Now I am trying to figure out how the cable routes and exits the cab. I looked at the manuals but can't really tell where the hole should be or the path to it. A picture would be great. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about a 71 but my 69 had a hole just above the master cylinder feeding the cable straight shot to the gauge panel. From the panel was leading to trans snug close to bottom of cab. Pretty simple route.

mine had been cut, broken, something, but it comes out the hole in the firewall & there looks to be a hole in the inner side of the cab mount that it routes through on its way back to the trans, that keeps it out of the way of everything
