factory bucket seat install

Post by kevins72 »

Hello, does anyone who has installed factory buckets seats, replacing the bench seat, using the bench seat holes for the outside brackets. Can you please tell me which holes do I use of the 2 bench holes, the inner set or the outer set. I already tried the inner set, but both seats lean to the middle of the truck, I just removed the new sound deadiner under the bracket, I installed with new carpet, the drivers seat seems a little off set from the steering wheel as well. using outside holes would help this also. I kind of know I might be answering my own question, but already drilled 4 new holes for the inside brackets and I need to make sure I'm correct this time. They lean pretty much so shimming is not much of an option. Thanks for your time. Kevin, 1972 f100

It's the outer holes on the outside brackets. You see in these drawings that the slope on the legs of the brackets match the slope on the outside of the raised portion of the floor. http://www.fordification.com/tech/bucketseats.htm
