Bumps & Guns
I have a CCW permit and carry most of the time. I am thinking of mountIing a holster Underneath the dash or on the column for quick access . I am looking for some thoughts on this. Has anyone done this with their bump? If so let's see some pics!

All I have is a rifle/shotgun rack over the rear window.
I would think quicker access would be a holster mounted under your right leg on the front face of the bench seat. Or if left-handed, under your left leg.

I always liked the seat covers with the pockets along the front edge. The old Indian blanket type used to have them. Pretty sneaky and a subcompact would hide there nicely. I'm not a big fan of an exposed holster as I think it would be a liability depending on the situation.

I agree. I don't plan to have it real noticeable and if someone is in my cab that shouldn't be it will already be out of its holsterRanchero50 wrote:I always liked the seat covers with the pockets along the front edge. Re: Bumps & Guns
Why would you remove your CCW weapon from your person when riding in your truck
Your holster should be of such construction as your firearm is not uncomfortable to carry at any time
If you put it in the truck under the dash you no longer have control of it
My CCW never leaves my side or my control ...EVER

Because I carry mine is a pocket holster and when I am seated it is harder to get to. We just had an attempted car jacking in town. When they pulled a gun on the driver he had quick access to his and shot them twice before it turned bad!tnlprt wrote:Why would you remove your CCW weapon from your person when riding in your truck

Re: Bumps & Guns
IMO
If you do not have access at all times with your current holster i think you need to reconsider your choice of a holster
IF the driver had a vehicle holster
And if the driver in your town had been pulled out of the car and the robbers taken his vehicle
A vehicle holster would have put another weapon on the street
Situational awareness means not having to become a quick draw expert

Re: Bumps & Guns
Search Fast Draw Magnetic gun holster.... Amazon has them, I'm unsure of price.
There's no replacement for displacement.
