3G Alt question

3G Alt question
Hi Guys. Electrical wiring is not one of my strong points! If i were to install a 3G alt, probably a powermaster like I had on a 68 Mustang, could I still leave the original regulator in place. Not sure what is necessary when installing 3G Alt. Thanks.
