Dent to bump bench compatibility

Would the bench seat from a 73-79 need any modification to bolt into a 69?

we got one from a later truck bolts right in but when its all the way back the metal frame hits the gas tank at the back outside of seat. Solution just set it forward one notch.
Also ours is a 69 f100 4x4 and the steering wheel is in your lap ddint notice that with the old seat.
