I had the instrument panel of my '71 F250 out to make it look pretty again, and in the process cleaned up the printed circuit board plug connection.
I was hoping to make the oil pressure and ammeter gauges work by just doing some simple cleaning.
It worked for the oil pressure gauge, but not for the ammeter.
Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot why this gauge is not working?

The ford ammeter barely worked when new. Sometimes the deflection is so little you don't notice it. It really is a ford thing. There are two inline fuses you could check in the wire harnesses just left of the alternator on the inner fender well. With a little looking you should find them.
