Hey guys,
I got 1967 Ford F-250 and the there is a leak behind the heater box.
It leaks anti-freeze and i'm wondering which section comes off for access to get to source of leak.
The leaks drips to floor and stops after while.

Your heater core is behind the spot on your picture between the two arrows. The flexible fresh air vent section on the right will disconnect but you will need to remove the whole heater system to replace your core and/or check the hose connections to the core. Best to remove the glove box to get at the bolts that run along the top of the heater box.

Ditto. Usually simplest to buy new heater hose and just cut the old off. The fresh air bellows is a real PITA to reinstall and get all the clips back on. When I worked on mine I pulled the three mounting nuts off the engine side of the firewall so the box could move some. Popped the 2 defrost ducts off carefully and dropped the unit far enough to get the cables off after taking a picture of how they are routed. Very difficult to get the cables working if they aren't routed correctly. Then after removing the heater wiring the box will come out. Take all the 5/16" headed screws out and the box will split apart giving you access to the core. DC makes a gasket kit to replace all the buggered foam and this is a great time to fix it up for the next 40 years.
Reassembly in reverse except the bellows suck.

You're lucky. My heater core waited until I replaced the interior carpet before belching radiator fluid all over my interior! I guess I'll use it until I repaint. Funny after the fact, but man, I was mad at the time!
Do what Ranchero50 says, and you'll be fine.

Yeah that rubber boot is the hardest to hook up. Make sure that boot is in your heater before you put it back together an put the heater in. you cant hook it up after. Thats what I did to my 67 f350Ranchero50 wrote:Ditto. Usually simplest to buy new heater hose and just cut the old off.
