I'm new to this forum and new to the old ford truck world. I just got a 1972 2wd F100 and I'm looking to do a few things to it.
One of the things I want to do is a aftermarket steering wheel but, I wanted to know will a 13.5 inch wheel block my dash gauges? side note I do have power steering so the small wheel shouldn't be a problem.
Any advise would be nice..... pictures would be great

Re: Aftermarket Steering wheels
There are tons of options, Google should point you in the right direction. Just try to find one that will work with the factory horn, some cheaper ones won't. Personally I didn't like the 2 spoke wheel and went with a '69 3 spoke style. My only concern with a little one is where do you rest your elbow when cruising down the road?

Think the 13.5 a bit too small for the 72 F100, but give it a try.

A 15-inch wheel feels about right in my opinion...
If you're open to installing a 78 and newer wheel, then read this easy mod: http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/14673 ... st16814710
and they are typically in better condition at the salvage yard..... Ya drill and install a roll pin so the turn signals actuate and reset!

Re: Aftermarket Steering wheels
Well I'm late to the party but I did put a 13.5 wheel in the truck.
I'm not too thrilled with and will probably change it to the Mustang style which is 15". Sorry I don't have a better pic but it doesn't get in the way of the gauges so with power steering it'll work.
