Floor Shift Tilt Steering Column

Any suggestions for an aftermarket tilt column for my manual shift F100?

To my knowledge nobody makes an aftermarket steering column for a manual column shift for our trucks. Ididit mentions it will custom manufacture almost anything you want but they are very expensive in the $900+ range. You'll come out much cheaper finding a '78-'79 F100 tilt column. http://www.fordification.com/tech/tilt.htm

Ididit carries a floor shift, manual trans tilt column. Their new line allows use of Ford splined steering wheels.. and Ford plugs!!!

First, manual steering or power steering?

Second, u want paintable steel, chrome, black powdercoat, brushed aluminum, or polished aluminum?

Manual floor shift, no chrome or polished aluminum. Kinda confused, these say GM ? Will the wiring plug in or do I have to splice?

Ok I spoke with Brian from Jegs, a paintable floor shift, no key tilt column is $625.58!! This is a special order item, which drives me crazy! How can they get away charging more for less features. BTW PN: 1170735010. And the search continues.

Other vendors offer ididit. Shop around... Summit and Speedway Motors comes to mind. Summit has free shipping over $99... Speedway does not.

If there is a Good guys show nearby, price breaks are usually offered. I picked up Sanderson headers for $100 less.. and they shipped it to my house!

Texarado, what did you do about a mount? This column is only 2 inch in diameter, the OEM is 2 1/4
