I have a 1967 Ford F250 with a
a Dana 60 rear end with 4:10 gears. I need lower gearing 3:54 so I can cruise on the hwy. My question is that I want to replace the current rear end with one from a salvage yard. (Seems most economical). I need to know what years are interchangeable and will bolt on directly?
Any thoughts ?
Thanks for your help,
Larry

While not a bolt-in, a 93 to 97 Sterling 10.25 is an option. I run across 3.55 with trac-lok units frequently at the bone yard. But, you will have to cut and weld perches, modify the driveshaft, etc. They are stout units and give the rear a little wider stance.
