Defroster output factory ac
Hello all, for those of you who have factory ac, I dont seem to be getting very good air flow out the rh defroster vent. Is this typical for these? Its been quite awhile since I had a truck with ac. Any advice would be helpful.

Have you checked your defrost duct hoses? The driver's side hose is a fairly straight routing but the passenger side makes a tight bend to the right then another tight bend to the left to go straight up. Also, my '64 Fairlane had a similar issue and I found out it had pulled part way loose. A reposition and a zip tie fixed the problem. Lastly, check the baffle door for the condition of the gasket. The vent registers are just "clicked" in there and you can pry them out if you're careful and gentle. lookk inside while you operate the controls and see if the foambis is still good. Here's my rebuild thread where you can see how it all goes together. The defrost duct outlet is on the bottom of page 4 and into page 5. http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... 3&start=45
