'71 F350 Napco

Post by BaconCreekMetal »

I just picked up a 1971 F350 dually Napco converted dually service truck. The truck came out of CA and according to the friend I got it from spent many years sitting in the barn on a big ranch where it did duty as a service truck before it was replaced with a new one.

Having worked on, built, and daily driven bumpsides for my entire driving career, it has been fun crawling around this thing and seeing how the Napco conversion was put together.

I will post pics as soon as I can get my phone to work the website so I can log in there.

If you have any information on the Napco Fords I would love it if you would share. The internet seems to not have a ton of information on them.

It appears that I need to do some research on how to post pictures.

Score! :hd:
I owned a 79' E-350 NAPCO conversion van. Bought from a friend here it came from up north where it had spent it's life on salt covered roads that rotted the body out. I scrapped the body and kept the HD-44 HP front axle and the D-60 rear axle and the C-6 and NP-205 transfer case, (the best thing NAPCO did on most all their conversions the NP-205 case)! I had intended to drop all of that, (except the D-60 as I already had a D-70) under BC-16 but was unable to due to a greedy with that threw me to the wolves, (she just got her karma finally having to evacuate her nursing home there in Ft Myers Florida).

I know there is a NAPCO registry and there is also a NAPCO forum, (I never saw much posting on it though).

Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!

Thank you for the response.
I've read those links and been through the fbi book page. The fbi book page appears to not have much action anymore. I contacted the store link looking to get a mug, but the print shop said they don't carry that client's stuff anymore.

Would love to see pics. Been playing with the idea off and on about turning a highboy f250 into a service truck to do mobile mechanical work out of.
