I was stripping off most everything on the frame. Do I leave the rear axle and springs on the frame or do I take it off?
For now I will probably keep the axle, but notsure. If I find s locking diff, it will go in. If I take the axle and springs off, how do I get them off? Where do I start?
parts to take off for sand blasting?

Take everything off, probably have to degrease it as well.
I don't think I'd sand blast an axle housing, too hard to clean all the sand out. :hmm

re: parts to take off for sand blasting?
If you're sandblasting the frame, the frame should be as bare as possible. I sandblasted the rearend on my truck by hanging it from my engine hoist, but made sure it was 100% sealed up first. Check out http://www.fordification.com/my67-p28.htm
To remove the rearend and springs as a unit, all you have to do is remove the rear shocks, disconnect the brake line and then pull the 4 bolts holding the springs to the frame mounts...it'll drop right out.

Thanks for the tips. I have everything unbolted but the brake lines and the four spring bolts. Didn't seem like the four spring bolts wanted to budge. Is it ok to pound on them?

they are going to take a LOT of penetrating oil and if you have a 3/4 inch drive socket set around...use it...
