Nope sorry no progress between really slow hours at work and any extra money I do come across has gone into my buggy. As far as the suspension upgrades I traded that stuff for some parts for the buggy, but the plus side is that it went to my buddy that bought my 77 crewcab and it's all on there almost done. When he is done with it i'll be sure to post some pics.

It's been funny too the kids are bugging me to get the crew painted and lately everytime I drive it somewhere somebody has a comment or a question about it, maybe it's a sign to get my butt in gear!

I love this truck! I wish it were my daily instead of my boring titan. I think you need to listen to the kiddies and paint it and get a cummins in there haha. I wonder what kind of difference the fuel mileage would be. Anyway...post up some progress pics!

Well it's been a while but it's now time for some tlc on the crewcab. Plans right now are a 93 Ic cummins 12v/47rh and finish body and paint. Running 460 and c6 have been plucked. Image Image

Good plan. Those could be pictures of my '70's engine bay right now. Looking forward to working on mine again sometime this year.

Engine showed up yesterday, traded my 460 for it. Collecting a few parts that were donated from it for my buddy's lowboy cummins. One of them the pump to injector lines. Once those are here and on I'll take out out front and degrease it then pull it apart and modify a few things and seal it up. 47rh is last on the list and needs a TC, valve body, flywheel and a few other parts as it was a v10 trans.

Once it's cleaned up I'll stuff it in the truck and decide on the engine mounting mods...box in a couple inches on the firewall. Trying to gain a few inches to accommodate the ac condenser in front of a 99-04 sd intercooler. Still hunting for one of those with metal tanks. Have mock it up b4 any cutting, might get lucky with my electric fans in there and save me a little space?

Have to say I'm addicted to finding all the info online from the ppl that have already done the swap. Then putting your own twist on it.

For all the PITA involved intercooling one of these trucks I'm really siding towards forgoing the IC and putting the engine in where it fits well without all the heavy fabwork. I have done the firewall thing and it creates a whole new set of challenges inside the cab. I guess it all depends on your power goals for the truck.

I am pretty shure the v-10'trans has different gov weights in it. so it may shift a little different than a diesel
model.

Smokey, yep the weights were one of the mods to the trans that I found on the Internet that needs to be addressed when it's all laid out on a table. Would have been a lot easier if I had found a diesel trans but this one found me.

Average the intercooler is a must as I have that "can't leave it alone" problem. Just weighing my options now and running crazy options through my head. When u cut into the firewall how far back did u recess it? Any pics? I know in the end I'll prob end up fabbing a custom radiator support because of the stockers limitations but who knows. Time and money will tell

Definitely post up any opinions or personal experiences, that's y we r all here

I cut the firewall on my dad's 77 F-350 super camper 2wd. I will get some pictures next time I'm over there. It was a b!tch dealing with making the firewall look good and heater fit back in.

If you're going to go the custom core support route look at a 2003+ 6.0 powerstroke E series intercooler. They have a large surface yet are designed to package very close to a radiator.

I think modifying the firewall would be easier than the radiator support and better weight distribution. Looking forward to your progress.
