I thought you were gonna say that the unit number was somewhere between 67 and 72.

Good luck with the move, Keith.

No problem Keith. I'll ask the man upstairs to stick the idea in your buddies head that there a bit of space there that the truck can sit  Hey if you strip the cab off the chop and put the other bed on the 4x4 chasis , cant ya put the front suspension and the rear out of the chops frame in the bed. Then take the frame and flip it over on its side next to the 67?? I only ask because right now I got my truck in one of those tent garages with the body on the old frame and I got the new painted frame laying the same way, up on its side so its under cover.. Least that way if you ever do decide to go back to 2wd ya got the parts

I thought about that...but it's not so much the room, it's just the hassle of getting the parts out there. I figured I'd just save one assembled vehicle and call it good.

Well, I worked all day on the body swap, and just thought I'd share the results with you. ;)

I think it looks kinda cool! 8)

I'll be hitting the bed with some flat-black rattlecans tomorrow morning, just to give the bare steel a little protection from the elements. Then it's out to my friends house, where it'll be covered with a tarp.

I'm about 99.8% out of the shop now, I'll be finishing up getting moved out tomorrow. Then it's just an evening after work to clean it up a bit, and this chapter will be closed. :(

Keith, whats the storage unit go for big enough to put the chop top in? I know things are tight for alot of us.. but maybe if enough of us here can chip in and donate enough cash to help pay for an extra unit so you could keep the chop.. hate to see you have to sell it off after all that work and watching the progress has given me lots of ideas and a base know how for mine.. maybe if we can scratch enough for a few months rent on it youll be able to find a new shop and wont have to rid of all your toys Let us know!!

Thanks JT.. thats pretty much my point.. When it comes down to it, this place is my car club.. full of friends and has that family feel.. I offered that because I think of it as a wealth of knowledge, that will benifit myself as well of others. Keith has a great site, I cant even begin to imagine how many hours a day, a week, years, he has been trying hard to make this a place to help and inform. Hell Id look here before Id open any manual for info. I had just thought it was a way to give alittle back from my end.. hell I figured if I could fork out a money for a few mags a year.. whats the difference, being I get just as much info and great looking pictures of trucks and all.. and I dont have to go to a newstand or leave my chair  This site has help me alot.. I cant help to feel if there is a way Id want to help it back.. :fr:

Keith the chop looks awesome!! I like the later hood trim with the 68 grille.
Did you get the windshield fit in it?

Keith, I like the look of the 71-72 trim with the 68 grille, and the way the chop-top body looks on the 4x4 frame is just 8) The 8 lug rear-end is pretty cool too.
