Re: Going to Mexico
Wow darn you were really close to my neck of the woods, as they would call it. I go off roading with friends around out in Santa Teresa. If I walk out of my house and down to my street I have a clear view of Santa Teresa. You proabaly went I-10 West to Artcraft Road and followed it that way past some cotton feilds and alot of desert. If you went that way you drove past my house I actually can throw a rock onto I-10. Well if you have to come this way again sometime soon I be sure to be listening. Any questions about the town just ask away.

Re: Going to Mexico
That is exactly the way we took to the border. Had no idea I was that close.
Anyway, here are a couple of 'bump-pics' I snapped while in Mexico.
The picture was taken while driving by. Can't really tell but the one on the far side was a DRW without a box.
Here is another one. Looks like a 67. Most of the trucks where well used (beat up) work trucks.
And here are 2 more parked on the street that I snapped while driving by.

Re: Going to Mexico
Here are a couple more trucks I saw in Mexico. First a multi-color short box with a smooth tailgate and rollpan.
And tow more I snapped while driving down the highway. Both have seen better days by the looks of things.

Re: Going to Mexico
I must have seen at least 40 bumps and only 2 of the other brand of the 67-72 year period. What does that tell you?

Re: Going to Mexico (w/pictures, best for last)
Saw this lot there with 4 dents (79s) and 2 bumps for sale. This was my favorite.
Same mirrors I have on mine. Check out the price tag, and that is USD. I guess it's on sale. Don't really like the wheels though.
Young guy I talked to said it was a 67 but according to the doorhandles and heater controls it's not. Am I correct? Nice seat though.
Nice headliner, matches with the seat.
Dusty FE, not sure what size. Notice the newer model Master Cylinder.

Looks like you are correct, other give aways: the grille, hood emblems, later style widow visor clips without integrated rear view mirror, and heater controls.
