Re: Turn Signal Switch Replacement - tutorial

Post by TexasTruck72 »

This tutorial was extremely helpful today as I replaced my turn signal switch. Had my laptop in the truck as I did it. Only took me just over an hour to go from start to finish. Followed every step and did not have any issues along the way. New turn signal switch works great now.

The only thing I'd add to this tutuorial is that I found it easier to cut the old wires just behind the black plastic connector box rather than trying to depress the metal tangs and push the connectors out of the black plastic connector box.

Wow, looks like all the postings before June 2010 were deleted. That sucks. I may still have it as a Word document that I saved.

Yeah, that seems somewhat counter productive for a tutorial thread. Maybe if you get it back up, then someone can put a sticky on it to save it longer. I still haven't replaced mine and loved this tutorial. I need it!

Someone should either retrieve the tutorial or take this sticky down. It's kind of frustrating when you need it, you see all the positive responses to it, but it's not there.

Has anyone found the turn signal replacement tutorial? I read through it a while back when I fixed my last turn signal, and it was a great help. Now I need to do another one. Any hope?

Oh well. :o I was hoping to see what was involved BEFORE diving in to replace mine. Maybe I will remember to take pictures and will have time to write it up so we have a tutorial again.

Might as well delete this thread because the tutorial is gone.
