On the back side of the seat back was it open or did it have a cover on it of some type. I can't tell as my seat was well used. It looks to me that I should have a burlap material on the back of the seat back. Or should I have nothing? Anyone know? Thanks.
The only seats that had backing were the front bench seats in crew cabs. All of the rest of them had open backs.
My seat, out of a mid 70's F100/150 had a cardboard backing to hide the backside. It has a black finish that shows every little scratch. An open back gives you a place to put things, like a quart of oil, roll of paper towels, etc.

BobbyFord, Where is this place? I needs mine done too.
They've relocated but they're still in North Hollywood. Google, "Rags To Riches Auto Upholstery"
Owner is Robert Orozco.

Thanks, No Hollywood is not too far, but I did find a place closer to me that has great reviews. Fontana Auto Upholstery.
Apparently it is not much more to have seats re-upholstered than to purchase good seat covers.
I just got mine done this week. The seat, headliner and visors cost $200, and the seat is cloth with vinyl trim. It is lighter than I hoped for, but will work. Shop around.

PLEASE provide source for that prefab cover? thanks!!!!
Sorry for the late reply. I purchased the cover from 1A Auto. I purchased the rest of material online also such as jute webbing, foam, but i can't remember the vendor, i picked up the matting from local foam and fabric
