I know this is an ancient post now, but I just wanted to say thanks for documenting your installation process so thoroughly! It has helped me immensely today, installing the same belt kit in my 68 Ranger.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

I did this on my truck in 2009. On my 1969, the threaded hole is closer around the curve to the rear window, which makes it a real pain to work with. Also, the hole in the sheet metal did not line up very well with the threaded hole underneath. It obscured the threads, making it impossible to get a bolt in there. I had to grind part of it away.

For anyone wondering if the 110" belts are long enough... No they aren't. Get the 140" version like robroy.

This thread was very helpful, in fact I looked at the pics so many times that when I received my seatbelt order I was expecting them to be yellow! , Mine are maroon and fit great, but you do need a good tap, the only place I found that had a good made in USA taps was Ace Hardware.

Re: May I ask for advice on Beam's 140" WSCH300 seat belts?
I realize this is an old thread, but for the new people seeing this here's some info:
Reading this with interest as I plan to add shoulder belts too....I actually worked in the auto industry designing seats, belts, airbags, and steering wheels...safety stuff with lots of crash testing. Add that to the fact that I race cars, and it simply drives me insane to own a truck without proper shoulder belts (and let's not discuss the in-cab fuel tank!). Danger is NOT my middle name.
The pic of the torx head bolt indeed shows the OEM bolt.
The bolts are meant to be self tapping - i.e. the mounts are not typically threaded. I have run many a virgin bolt thru many an untapped hole with an impact
If your mounts are not already threaded, I would suggest getting a self tapping torx head bolt from the dealership (seat belt mounting application) that matches the length you need. You need the torx version because it helps keep the bolt straight when you're threading it in (ideally with an impact gun on light setting). A hex head will wobble too much.

Hey RobRoy,
Thank you for post all your useful info on the seat belt instal. I was wondering if you could repost the pics on page 2. They were the pics of your completed instal. If not, it's all good.
Thank you,
Davin.

Good day Tony, Sport71, Catinahat, 91Bear, Orif, Wndsofchng06, JG F100, Todd, Davin and 48Prerunner,
Thank you all so much for your replies!
Today I finally recovered the data lost back in 2010, which should have fixed the broken photo links on the second page of this thread. The data was tricky to recover because it was stored in a way that regular computers couldn't read, and the only oddball computer of this type I owned died. I finally got my hands on another oddball and was able to do the recovery.
Thank you all again,
Robroy

Re: May I ask for advice on Beam's 140" WSCH300 seat belts?
This thread is great! In fact, it is one of the threads that drew me to this forum. I just finished installing my seatbelts, which I acquired from JCWhitney a few years ago, and they are almost identical to the ones pictured here. The install went well, and now that I'm looking at the thread again, I think I'll install the 90 degree brackets in the middle as well.
I wanted to make an offer. I managed to find a source for the OEM shoulder bolts (Uhaul via eBay, if you can believe it), and as it happened, they only sold them in sets of 10. Since I only have one bumpside, and the bolts only cost me $10 delivered, I'm happy to part with the other eight at no charge. Just PM me with your address, and I'll pop a couple of bolts in an envelope, and send them your way!
Just a little good will I can pass back to the community that has been so helpful.
Cheers,
Duane
