Re: Waiting by the phone
You dont have a cell phone ? If someones coming to buy something from me i tell them to call my cell when their on their way, that way im doing what i need to do instead of wasting my day waiting on someone that might not show up. And if a time is set to meet ill give them 15 minutes, my life is more important that waiting on somebody who dont know how to tell time. When you talk to the guy be sure to let him know your time is just as valuable as his is.

I've often wondered what it would be like "untethered"?

Re: Waiting by the phone
It seams to me like you were a slave to a land line. I agree that many people are way too tied to their cell phones but they can be a good thing to have. It's up to each individual to use gadgets but not allow themselves to be enslaved by them.fordman wrote:i do not use my cell phone for other reasons to. i am not a slave.

Re: Waiting by the phone
yes and no. you are right. but that is not how i meant slave to a cell phone. if he called on my cellphone i would have had to drop what i was doing and run fo rhim. other wise i was free do be home doing what i wanted to do. i was a slave to him though. he never called at all or even showed up. f him i am busy until junkyard trip day. then its too late.
