Bench Seat Hardware

I have buckets in my truck and I don't really like them. I want a bench and I have one I can buy but its out of a newer Ford. What years can I use the hardware out of?

IIRC, up to an including 96 will swap. Otherwise, yer on your own.

To my knowledge the hardware ( if you mean the base that bolts to the floor) is different after the bumpside years. I might be wrong but I know 90's hardware is different. I just did a 1994 swap in my truck and I followed what this sites tech article says on the topic about using the old base with the new seat. The base on my 94 seat has just 4 holes that bolt into the floor while a bumpside normally has 8 bolts in the floor. A new seat will fit, you just have to drill out the threads where the tracks bolt up to it so the original tracks studs can slide through and be secured with a nut.

If your buckets are original, and you're dead set on changing to a bench, post them and the seat brackets on the parts for sale thread. You should be able to make a good buck off of them.

Trust me I'm planning on it. But I still need a seat. So can I only use the hardware from 100s,250s, and 350s or would the bigger trucks brackets work too?
