interior insulation

Post by doughboy68 »

I read someone's idea on here somewhere to use some insulation for the hardware big box store... worked well... getting ready to paint and when done, I will add more pics of the "sound deadener" idea too I got from them and bought at the hdw store.

That came out good. Was it self adhesive or did you glue it on?

Looks good. I always used the frost king stuff. Worked well on the floors but I didn't know about the adhesion for headliners. I had about a half roll left over from another project so before I installed my headliner I cleaned the crap out of the metal and stuck some up there. It sat in the hot garage for about a week before I was able to do the headliner and it was still stuck up there good so we will see.

I used the Frost King also. I tried it out on the inside roof figuring that would be a good place to test. Been there for 2 years and no problems. The truck stays parked outside too, so at least i know the heat is not making it peel off.

I used an aerosol spray adhesive, cut it to size.... voila!! We live in Florida, so I am hoping it really helps with with the summer heat... and winter heat (to rub it in for those who have to deal with winter... HA HA )
