plastic dash overlay?

Has any body used one and how did you attach it down to the original dash pad? I got mine with a truck I bought several years ago out of box. I am going to add it over the dash in my 4x4 and its in fair shape but has a few cracks in it.

It glues in place over your old cracked pad. Slather a good amount of your favorite glue on the cover and put it in place. Then use as many clamps, bricks, books, and whatever else you have to hold it down flat until the glue dries and sets. You want to make sure it makes good contact all the way across while it dries so you don't get any raised spots.

I used silicone on mine.

I comes with silicone but from what I have heard from those that have used it, it tends to release over time. I used gorilla glue as I never planned on taking the cover back off of my old cracked pad. The reason silicone is shipped with the cover is so that it is possible to take the cover off if someone so desires. But if that is not a concern, feel free to use something more permanent.

I just redid mine with the hard plastic overlay from L and M. It came with GE silicon adhesive but I used Gorilla too.
Cut off with a razor sideways and raised tear material and bumps - mine did not have many.
Then after applying the glue to the dash, I put a blanket over it (so as not to scratch it) and actually used 4 landscape blocks, which worked great !
(just be careful with the very heavy blocks to not bump your steering wheel or windshield or anything).
