I'm working on my '67 F250....For years the glove box door has not liked to open. You can push the button but there was nothing pushing back to open the door.
I recently got new bumpers and springs in hopes of fixing this problem. Installing the bumpers was easy. But what to do with the springs? The original springs are no where to be found. I can't find wear marks or any clue. My shop manuals don't show this detail and my donor truck was no help.
Would someone post a picture of how the glove box springs are installed in their truck? A link to a schematic would be fine too. I checked this sites literature and didn't find anything.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Glove box door spring help.
The placement of the spring is on the left hand side of the glove box door opening near the top. You will see a rectangular recessed area with a hole in the middle that your glove box door overlaps. This is where the spring goes with the plastic clip in the middle. The clip pushes into the hole.

Re: Glove box door spring help.
After seeing the picture I went to my 70 donor truck and found that it still had the little plunger clip. I should have looked here first.
I think the thing that has caused me the most confusion, and I suspect it has for others, is that sites like LMC indicate that you need two rubber bumpers and two springs. They don't list the plunger as a part. That screwed me up. You only need one of each. I have spares now.
Thanks again for the help.

Re: Glove box door spring help.
ace hardware had decent spring replacements that work better. Also I found the the latch need a good cleaning to be smooth again.
