Should I glue the floor mat?
I'm about to install the original type rubber floor mat I bought from LMC. Should I glue it down or will it eventually lay down on it's own? I know the edges by the door will be held by the kick plate but I'm worried the rest of it will not stay in place once it's in. I'm thinking the top of it and the sides above the kick plate should be glued and if so what type of glue is best to use? Should I install it directly over the metal floor or use some type of insulation? I'm on a tight budget and can't afford any of the insulation such as the stuff you buy from LMC. I'm thinking normal carpet padding or some other type of insulation I can buy from Lowes or Home Depot to give it a little cushion and help with the heat and noise? Any suggestions would be great.

Re: Should I glue the floor mat?
My original rubber mat wasn't glued or anything. Even when it got all old, cracked and torn it still didn't slide around. Might have some jute padding at one time but that deteriorated a long time ago. When I redid my floor, I'm adding carpet, I laid down Peel 'n Seal from Lowe's in the roofing section then topped it with EZ Cool insulation http://www.lobucrod.com/ I might have $80 all total in my floor. I'm pleased with the result. You can see it in my build thread in my sig on page 31. I wouldn't do more than just double sided tape in a few places on a stock rubber mat. Once it relaxes you probably won't even need that.
