cable running underneath bench seat

Post by kmcypress »

Hey guys,

When I pulled the seat out, I got the cable caught and snapped part of it. I need to get a replacement cable (the one that runs from one side of the bench seat to the other and is used to move the seat). Any idea where I can get one? i've tried some hardware stores but haven't had any luck.

It's originally just a wire ( maybe spring steel)
They used them for years you might be able to retrofit one out another car or truck.

The cable sounds interesting you should be able to get a length of light cable (bike brakes?) and make it work.

You could use a wire hanger in a pinch.
