Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the 12 plug harness connector is the same for 67 through 72. The instrument panels are all interchangeable for those years. If you have the 67 or 68 instrument cluster already, you should be able to simply replace the 72 instrument panels with the 67 or 68 instrument panels.

...that being said, I am nt sure about the F650 style instrument panels harness connector... :?

Hope this helps.

They will all work just depends on how much you want to alter the original wire harness in the truck. 67 had a bit different wiring for the blinker light 68, 69, I believe where the same. 67, 68. 69 had the same plug. 70 I believe where on there own 71, 72, not really sure about as I've never worked on those.

If you have to replace the harness too it doesn't sound like you should have any trouble. Best of luck with that wiring

I know 68 and 69 used the plug type of connector for the instruments and 71/72 used the printed circuit board approach for its instrument cluster. Would seem multiple approaches available: swapping out the entire under dash harness on the truck with the year you like or modifying the existing harness with the appropriate connectors from another harness or perhaps making up some converters to allow you to use one year with another.
I would like to use my f600 instrument cluster with the 68/69 connections in my 71, but just have not had the heart/desire to tear into an already hacked wiring harness.
