Rear Sliding Glass

Post by mkoecher »

I have rear sliding glass in my truck. Unfortunately, the metal frame around the glass has come unglued so it rattles open while driving. Even if i could glue the metal frame on the latch is riveted and broken so I can't just replace that. I pulled some rear sliding glass from the junk yard with a working latch, but it was in less than elegant fashion. Does anyone have a way that I can replace the sliding glass in my truck without damaging the rear glass/trim?

About half way down the page shows what I did to mine for the gasket material. Worked out amazingly well and I was able to install it in place. Not too worried about the latch as the glass is held in tightly.
