Thanks a lot guys, it'll be not only my daily driver but move me out of Florida here pretty soon I hope!
Steve, I'll also probably have to say good-bye again to all of you here on Fordification soon. I'll loose internet for awhile as well as a whole lot more. Just want everyone to see what progress I had made before I say bye.
After having the sheriff's department here on Monday and code enforcement drive by on Wednesday, (they never come into this neighborhood unless called).
Freakin' neighbors!
I moved the truck back to the back yard yesterday to get ready for the engine pull, (between downpours). Hopefully I'll be able to sell the 10 X 20 shed and shade before I leave, (I've only had them for about 7 months now). I've had no place to do this build prior to that for over 5 years now!

My buddy Doug and Todd (thanks for the steel guys) helped me tow the truck to the back and got the hood off and now I can really see what's going on:

For those of you that have to park under trees like me... Look at the above picture and my "redneck invention" to save the cowling area!
Find yourself and old magnetic sign / cut to fit / don't forget to take it off when you go mobile though!
You can also see the dentside hood gasket I put on it last year, (they do fit pretty good)!
I got started this morning, and as Forrest Gump would say, "things went like peanut butter on jelly!"
I got the fluids drained / all wiring unhooked / radiator, fan shroud, fan, battery, carb, distributor, oil filter adapter, altenator, PS pump & bracket, coil all removed:

I found out I'm gonna have to get a new battery tray:

And i found what looked like another "performance mod" someone had done to the heated spacer under the carb (note the cut-out area between the ports):

Now I've got it all unhooked and sitting here "twittling" my thumbs so...

It was the first time I'd used the engine hoist, but I knew it would "get er' done" after I had painted it Ford blue months ago when I found it on CL.
Got it out! Got a guy coming tomorrow morning to pick it up for $50.00.
Better than scrapping it for nothing I guess...

Thank you Lord for another good day!
