Saving the Old Seat
Is there anything I can spray on or coat my seat in? The seat is in nearly perfect condition, no rot. I fear though that it will begin to disintegrate very rapidly if I start using it often. This is the closest picture I could find to what I have. My color scheme is tan and creame, but this design with the ford stamp on the backrest and leather is all the same. https://i.pinimg.com/736x/36/cd/90/36cd ... d-girl.jpg Thanks!

I would have a upholstery shop make a clear plastic seat cover for it. dont know much else you can do besides that.

Good baby oil. Make a small towel sopping wet and drag it across the surface in small circles. You'll be amazed at how much dirt comes off a clean seat while doing this. Let it soak in overnight and then wipe it off. Might take a couple applications but it'll help keep the material soft.

Took his advice to use baby oil on my dash pad which was perfect but dull and it brought it right back to almost new and its already helped soften it up...........

I have the same concerns. I used Gojo hand cleaner to clean mine. No matter what i think the threads will start to disintegrate with daily use. look underneath, the burlap or whatever is there may be on its way out and the springs will eat into the foam. I plan to stuff some material in there.

Not smart enough to post individual pictures, dwr30R is my seat. I'm going to try the baby oil, that seems like it would work at least for a while! Thanks!

What GoJo does to your hands, it'll do to your seat.
You really want to add oil to the polyesters, not take it away.
