Wasn't sure if this should be posted in Interiors or Electrical....
I want to do an aftermarket column, chrome, tilt, etc. The automatic column shift columns with neutral safety switches are easily $700 - $800; which is a good bit more than I want to spend, especially since that doesn't even include the steering wheel.
Summit has an auto column shift column for $300, but it does not include the neutral safety switch. Does anyone have suggestions on a differetn / custom NSS application I could pair with this column? I do not want to just bypass the NSS altogether, I want to maintain it's purpose.
Here is the column I was looking at:

P.S. I'm in the middle of the crown vic IFS swap, so I don't need a column with a rag joint setup
Thanks,
Custom Steering Column / Neutral Safety Switch

Re: Custom Steering Column / Neutral Safety Switch
What Transmission are you going to use. Some transmissions like the AOD have a switch on them.

Re: Custom Steering Column / Neutral Safety Switch
I posted the same question in the Electrical section and got some good feedback over there. Looks like Ford ran a transmission mounted NSS on some of the passenger car C4 and C6 transmissions...should be able to use one of those.
Thanks guys!
