turn signal/hazard light fuse blow after 5 minutes
1969 F100 -- Replaced the dash face and lens. Replaced the turn signal switch in the column with the good one out of the 70 F100. Neither truck had prior issues with blowing fuses. Hazard lights work, turn signals work, brake lights work. Buttoned it up and had my Son deliver it back to my Daughter. Half way there (+/- 3miles) all out, both fuses (14 & 20) blown. I understand direct ground with instant burn .... I'm having a little trouble with understanding a "Delayed Burn" with the fuses. Before I tear everything apart again I thought I would see if anyone had a suggestion for something simple that I may have missed?

Pinched insulation on a wire that took some time to finally fail and ground? Dunno. That's a weird one...
too many Fords, no where near 'nuff time.
or, money.

Re: turn signal/hazard light fuse blow after 5 minutes
tsherry was right .... process of elimanation led me to the Green/White stripe for the front left turn signal. Traced it from the front to the switch in the column. The wire had a small loop as it exited the steering wheel collar below the switch, the loop got caught under the column tube and pinched the wire. All is well and the truck is back on the road.
